With more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector, Munira Nugmanova combines strong expertise in risk management with first-hand knowledge of rural markets in Tajikistan. As a Regional Manager, she led branches in remote areas and worked closely with communities whose livelihoods depend on agriculture and small businesses. This experience gave her a practical understanding of rural finance, barriers to financial access, and the needs and risks faced by underserved clients.

Munira later played a key role in strengthening risk governance at FINCA Tajikistan, including enterprise risk management, internal controls, risk culture, oversight, and Board-level reporting. Her ability to connect on-the-ground rural experience with effective risk frameworks provides a valuable perspective for ESG-focused investors, particularly in the areas of financial inclusion, responsible lending, client protection, operational resilience, and transparent governance.

Munira holds a Master’s degree in Economics, specializing in Banking, from Bokhtar Nosiri Husrav State University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the Faculty of Economics as well.
