MDO FINCA Tajikistan was recognized for its work in expanding the economic opportunities for women in Tajikistan, securing second place in the nomination “For successful implementation of projects aimed at supporting women’s entrepreneurship” within the contest ” The Best Financial Credit Organization For The Implementation of Projects Aimed to Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship”.

The results of the contest were announced on May 30, 2024, as part of the “Action Plan for 2023-2025 of the State Program for the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2027.”

The award ceremony took place at the National Bank of Tajikistan with the participation of the bank’s management, the chairperson of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the deputy chairperson of the Committee on Investments and State Property, representatives of financial-credit organizations, the Association of Banks of Tajikistan, the Association of Microfinance Organizations of Tajikistan, the jury, and organizers.

One of the key projects in supporting women’s entrepreneurship implemented by FINCA Tajikistan is the FINCA Women Club, which has been successfully operating for 2 years in all 26 branches of FINCA Tajikistan. The Club serves as a platform for women seeking financial development and improvement of their financial literacy. Over 4300 women from all over Tajikistan have joined the Club and gained access to trainings, knowledge exchange, consultations, and most importantly, to accessible financial services.

The efforts of MDO FINCA Tajikistan in supporting women’s entrepreneurship deserve recognition and support as it contributes not only to business development but also to strengthening the socio-economic position of women in society.
