Nafisahon Dzhumaboeva learned about FINCA Tajikistan from company representatives during the marketing activities in a market where she is already engaged in trade fabrics for kurpacha (national mattresses). First, let’s learn a little about what kurpacha is?
Kurpacha – national quilt, mattress, which is made by hand. At the beginning, cotton is quilting (filler of a mattress), then quilted cotton covering by case and once again stitching by hand. The bottom part of kurpacha sewn from cotton fabric of blue, red or green color with a small flower pattern. The upper part of kurpacha sewn from tightly-cotton fabric with bright multicolored pattern (mainly with repeating pattern). It is very nice to sit around a low dining table “dastarkhan” on such a mattress, drinking tea, watching TV and just talk with family and friends.
After meeting with FINCA Tajikistan’s representatives, Nafisahon discussed everything with her husband and decided to try to take a loan in FINCA.
Nafisahon cooperated with FINCA Tajikistan since 2013 and has served the fifth cycle.
Her first loan she received in the amount of $ 5,000. This amount was intended to increase assets, and also at the expense of the profits was arranged for daughter’s wedding.
Thanks to loans and successful cooperation with FINCA, Nafisahon business began to evolve rapidly. She managed to increase the range of products, expand its point of sale and acquire new customers.
Currently Nafisahon Dzhumaboeva has two freight containers for trading at a large wholesale market “Atush” in Khujand, Northern region. To trade on one of the two points she has attracted her husband. Now she brings the goods for sale from the neighboring country – Uzbekistan.
The last loan she took in the amount of $ 30,000. Funds were also intended to increase the turnover. Already Nafisakhon and her husband carry out wholesale fabrics in all markets of Sogd region of Tajikistan (Northern region).
