An event in honor of International Women’s Day – “Women at the forefront” was held in Dushanbe

On March 6th, USAID held a special event in honor of International Women’s Day, focusing on the theme of “Women at the forefront”. The event brought together a diverse group of women from various backgrounds and professions to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in society.

FINCA Tajikistan presented the FINCA Women Club project at the event, which is supported by USAID and aimed at the financial development of women.

One of the key messages that emerged from the event was the importance of empowering women to take on leadership roles and have a seat at the table in decision-making processes. Participants shared their stories of overcoming challenges and breaking barriers to achieve success, inspiring others to do the same.

As the event came to a close, there was a sense of optimism and empowerment in the air. Women left feeling inspired and motivated to continue pushing for gender equality and women’s rights in their communities and beyond.
